The Antico Podere Casanova is located entirely in the Chianti Classico DOCG production area, halfway between Florence and Siena, where both Chianti Classico and Chianti Classico Riserva are produced, as well as an exclusive wine of the company: the IGT Gandino, which by type and quality level is perfectly linked to the history of the Bucciarelli family, taking its name from the names of the founders Gano and Dino.
With a notarial deed the Maestro Michelangelo Buonarroti buys Podere Casanova, which is delimited on its borders exactly as the current Bucciarelli’s Antico Podere Casanova is now.
At the end of the last century, Gaetano Bucciarelli (known as Gano) and subsequently Dino Bucciarelli led the company of Podere Casanova.
From the earliest years the farm was known for being very focused on taking good care of the lands and for the good quality of the products obtained.
Today this tradition is maintained by Ezio Bucciarelli and his son Massimo who have recovered and renovated all the buildings , starting a small farm business.
Today, the main activity remains Wine and Oil production, in fact in recent years investments have been made to preserve and develop autochtonous vineyards ( mostly Sangiovese ) and modernizing the cellar.
The properties of the farm extend for about twenty hectares, seven of which are specialized vineyards and five are olive groves.
Bucciarelli Antico Podere Casanova produces Chianti Classico D.O.C.G., Vin Santo, Grappa and Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
Three apartments, completely renovated and equipped with all comforts, reflect the style of the old Tuscan farmhouses.
